__Been a while since my last report I have been really busy fishing and duck hunting the marshes. Fall fishing is spectacular regular limits of speckled trout and redfish. The duck hunting has also been good with some really good hunts and great time in the marsh in the sportsman paradise LOUISIANA. The first split of ducks season is over and the opener for the second on DEC 14. Good cold fronts coming down this week should push lots of new birds into our area. Season will close on JAN 19 2014. So if you want to get in on the ducks times ticking . CALL TO BOOK 985-640-0569

FALL FISHING and Duck Hunting!

Its been a good week the trout and redfish are in the marshes and the cooler weather has dropped the water temps putting them in the feeding mode. Live shrimp from Campo's is still the best bat around but I have been getting the action on the plastic too. Fishing is going to only get better. And The DUCKS are showing up too should be a great duck season healthy marsh with lots of grass feed for the ducks. If you would like to get in on the fish catching or shoot some ducks or do both give me a call CAPT GENE DUGAS 985-640-0569 RATHER BE FISHING HUNTING ADVENTURES www.ratherbe-fishing.com

Got an early start got right into some fish put some in the boat and had some big ones break off but good way to start. Tide stopped things were slow for awhile but we found some moving and redfish and that worked the area trolling the shore and put redfish in steady. Before long the guys had their limit of reds some nice trout and black drum filing the box. Great day lots of fun with gereat group of guy's. WWW.RATHERBE-FISHING.COM

Things started out slow just a few fish water temp was in low 50’s. Around 11 am we got on a good trout bite nice fish taking plastics under corks water temp was up the 59. Made a few drifts in this one area putting ga few trout ion the box on each pass adding up to 45 nice trout and 1 barely legal redfish before calling it a day. November Ducks

November trout fishing has been wide open Trout being caught all over the marsh with live shrimp and plastics under corks. Redfish biting good but scattered. The first split of the LA duck season was not as good as usual and warmer then past seseaons. The duck numbers in our area are down from previous years but I had some really good hunts and happy hunters. The second split which starts on December 15 should be a lot better. Hopefully colder weather here and up north will brings more ducks to the marshes. All and all still a sucessful first split with an average of 8 to 10 ducks per hunt. I still have openings for the rest of the sesaon so call soon and get on the books we only hav
e 40 days left till the season closes. CALL NOW AND GET IN ON THE FISHING AND HUNTING ACTION! CAPTAIN GENE DUGAS 985-640-0569 www.ratherbe-fishing.com

The fishing is in full swing speckled trout catches are sloid and steady the redfish are plentiful but on the small side that should change as it gets colder. Now for the ducks! The sesaon openeed on the 3rd for the youth hunt and The kids wer out and shot few and misseda few but lots of fun. Regular season opened on the 10th. Warm wether has us off toa slow start not the numbers of birds we normally have but I have been hunting and having good success not limits but good hunts and always a good time. The second split of the season should be great so if you want to get in on the action catching fish shooting ducks or both give me a call and seta day to enjoy the Sportsman Paradise in Louisiana.
