Weekend Double

Another great weekend of speckled trout and redfish fishing in Hopedale LA. The winds have calmed and things are coming together and the fish are biting.
Capt Gene’s boat
Saturday I had Larry Romero, and his two son-in laws Cecil and Todd. These guy’s have fished we me for years and we always have a good time and catch a lot of fish and this time was no different. We caught decent early and things got slow for awhile and we had to work for them but by mid to lat morning the box was filling up with trout. Larry and the guy’s wanted some reds so we hit the ponds and got few reds and drum to top off the box.
80 Trout, 8 redfish, 2 Drums, 1 flounder

Capt. Tony’s boat
Capt Tony helped me out with some regular’s Tyler Bickham and friends on his boat. They did almost the same as me in a different area with a early bite then working for them the res of the day and finishing off the box with some redfish as well.

Late Limit

I fished yesterday with Ross and his wife Lana and had a great day on the water. Things started just the opposite of what I wanted SLOOW. No tide no fish. We hit all the spots I caught on Mon and Teus plus some and at 9:30 only 8 fish in the box. Keep on fishing persistence pay’s. I made a big move to another area and finally got on some trout but it did not last a few more moves and we found some good trout mixed with schoolies but a good fish every three. Stayed there and finished up with their limit 50 trout late in the day 1:30, but we got’em nice box of fish on a tough day with some really nice people.

Early June Report! FISHING IS HOT!

Early June Fishing Report!

JUNE is starting off great the trout are getting into their summertime patterns and the winds are calming down allowing us to get into the open bay’s. But is HOT 90+ degrees so we are starting at first light and trying to beat the heat and be in by Noon. The trout and reds are biting early and we are getting some good catches. The rest of the month fishing should just get better. So give me call and come catch some and have some fun!
