Great fishing in Hopedale LA in early June

This past week the fishing in Hopedale has been really good for speckled trout, Redfish, black Drum and Flounder. I have been fishing just about every day with and doing well. On the windy day’s where I cannot get out in the open water the redfish and drums have been making up most of the catch. On the day’s with light wind the speckled trout have been filling the box along with some redfish and drum mixed in. I had several different groups this week with Fathers with son’s and daughters and one double husband and wife team getting in on the great summer fishing action down in Hopedale La. Our waters are OIL FREE and the fishing is fantastic.
Give me a call and come get in on the fishing fun!

Operation REDFISH!

Big Stan Easly and son Chad in on leave from Iraq along with friends Jermy, Dave and His son Cade had one thing on their mind, REDFISH! At that is what they caught. Stan set up the trip and called me to ask if we could fit in 5th person 10yr old Cade I said no problem if it means getting a young one out fishing we will make it happen. Boy did it happen. Cade was a machine he caught the first fish the biggest fish and a tagged redfish all on the first stop he had a blast all day we all did. It was great day fishing for redfish in Hopedale goo weather and the fish were biting . The box was full to the top well before noon and we called it a day. It was my honor to have a USA soldier on the boat the day after Memorial Day thanks Chad for all that you and all our troops do! I salute you.

Stormy weather Redfish

Joan, Joe and Mike made their first trip of the summer with me on Memorial day. We were just getting into the try in Black bay when two huge storms came rolling thru sending us for cover behind Stone Island. A break in the rain and we ran to the marsh and finished the day with a limit of redfish. Despite the weather knocking us off the trout it kept it cool and comfortable fishing the marsh for the reds. Still a great day on the water in Hopedale LA.
